Yet again, the BCTF has shown how greedy and out of touch with reality they are by insisting on now 19% over 3 years instead of 24% over 3 years. My prediction has not changed: mark my words the teachers are going on strike in early September. And what's with the BCTF's claim about teachers being shown a lack of respect by the employer. If the employer were showing a lack of respect, they would cut the rate of pay or at the very least keep the rate of pay the same as the last fifteen plus years.
