Last Season's standings: record- 29-37-16 for 74 points. The Bruins finished in 5th place in the Northeast division, 13th place in the Eastern Conference

In: Marc Savard F (prev. team: Atlanta Thrashers); Zdeno Chara (prev. team: Ottawa Senators); Shean Donavon F (prev. team: Calgary Flames); Mark Mowers F (prev. team: Detroit Red Wings); Wade Brookbank D (prev. team: Vancouver Canucks); Jeff Hogan F (prev. team: St. Louis Blues); Patrice Bergeron F; Nathan Dempsey D (prev. team: LA Kings); Milan Jurcina D; Brad Boyes F

Out: Hal Gill D (new team: Toronto Maple Leafs); Marty Reasoner (new team: Edmonton Oilers); Ben Guite F (new team: Colorado Avalanche); Eric Healey F (new team: Tampa Bay Lightening); Travis Green (new team: Anaheim Ducks); Ian Moran D (new team: Anaheim Ducks); David Tanabe D (new team: Carolina Hurricanes); Brad Isbister D (new team: Carolina Hurricanes)

Season Outlook: Fair. The Bruins head into the season having grabbed arguably the biggest prize of the free agent market in Zdeno Chara. The Bruins also added size in the back end by signing Brookbank. Overall this is a young and pretty inexperienced team, especially in net with career back-up Tim Thomas.

Season Prediction: Look for the Bruins to have a roller coaster of a season and wind up last in the Northeast, 12th in the Eastern Conference.
